WILL YOU BE MY VALENTINE?

Resultado de imagen de will you be my valentine
It's Valentine's Day!!! 1º ESO students have made some really cute Valentines cards for both friends, families and loved ones. Aren't they just beautiful? Thanks to our colleague Laura for organising the workshop!!

Kylie, our language assistant, also explained where this tradition comes from and encouraged our students to write their own love poems based on the most typical one: Roses are red, violets are blue, sugar is sweet and so are you.

CÁCERES, IMPRESSIONIST CITY

Yesterday students from our school attended an impressionist festival organised by the Extremadura French Teachers Association. Students from our Bilingual Section in 3º ESO prepared an exhibition about Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Sherlock Holmes. One of the groups involved even made a video and became booktubers for a day as they recommended reading the graphic novel The Hound of the Baskervilles.

NEIGHBOURING PRIMARY SCHOOLS PAY US A VISIT

In the last few weeks, some of our neighbouring primary schools have paid us visit to have a look a our high school facilities and what we can offer in our centre. From our Bilingual Section we invited our students to take part in an activity that combined both Sports ( as we celebrate the Year of Sports in our centre), reading and English. This is why we came up with an activity -known as running dictation- in wich they had to take turns to memorise words or sentences from the first paragraph of harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. It turned out to be quite an exciting and fun experience and everyone had a ball, as you can see in the photos below.
