SAINT PATRICK'S WEEK

St. Patrick's Day, the patron saint of Ireland, will be celebrated on 17th March. It is a great day of celebration for the Irish community.  Although we are in the middle of exam week, the team of teachers of the Bilingual Section are preparing some activities so you can enjoy yourselves and learn about Irish culture.

We hope you enjoy them and that they will help us to "get through" these last days of the second assessment period.

ERASMUS PROJECT: SUSTAINABLE CITIES. First virtual mobil

Students from the Bilingual Section have been participating in the Erasmus project: Sustainable cities. Past and Present.

We have been working on heritage in our city and our homeland Extremadura, as well as and the different ages all  in History. Due to the pandemic we are not travelling to our school mates' schools to share all our activitites and work. Instead, we have opted for virtual meetings where we have shared all about pre historic times in our city (visiting Maltravieso Caves) and how to consume locally to help both the environment and our city's shops.

Here you are some images of the activities.

                                    DAY ONE: LOCAL CONSUMPTION

Students from 4º in a meeting with French students talking about local consumption.

                          DAY TWO: PREHISTORIC TIMES

Students from 2ºESO ready to connect to the meeting with the  Greek, French and Polish schools.

In the centre of interpretation of Maltravieso Caves.

DAY THREE: MEETING WITH UNITED NATIONS

Online meeting with a member of United Nations who talked about global consumption.

We watched a video about United Nations international objectives

We have enjoyed all these activities at their most!! thanks to the teachers involved in the project for their effort and their willingness to have everything ready for us!!
