In the last few days, both teachers and students from our Bilingual Section have been creating an interactive Christmas tree that has been built using materials that can be 100% recycled such as cardboard paper and cans. Besides, some energy-saving LED lights have been built in as well. It is an activity that has been designed working closely with Minerva Martín, the coordinator of the Smart Cities project that is being developed in our high school, and our NLD teachers from our bilingual vocational training course, Electrical-engineer and Automated Systems.
The aim of this activity is to make our students aware of how much is wasted during Christmas and to encourage them to follow our smart tips in order to have a more environmentally-friendly Christmas.
